Regarding Innovation Learning Accelerator Initiative by Paula Gangopadhyaya

Just now I went through an article published in The Telegraph dated 6 April, where the above subject issue has been nicely introduced with a little eulogization of the 52 years old Chief Learning Officer for the Henry Ford Museums, who has been hand-picked by President Obama to serve on the National Museums and Library Services Board for a four-year term..While reading the article, I was thinking how can it be introduced in Indian academic institutions and particularly schools and more specifically in my own school, where I am trying out some of the similar innovative methods of learning and make learning interesting and also a source of joy among the students of diverse nature. Being an Asst. Teacher and now as the Head Master of a High School where I face problems are :(a) raising enthusiasm among very poor children, (a) orphan children, (c) motherless/fatherless children, (d) children of families where domestic violence is a daily happening, (d) working parents' children, (e) workless/jobless parent's children, (f) brothel children, (g) lonely children, (h) street children etc..

In response to the request from the newspaper I wrote an E-Mail to the given mail asking for a feedback from their end. I shall be very much helpful if they kindly assist me in developing my level of knowledge regarding the above issues, which are making India a hub of drug users, criminals, pick-pockets, smugglers, snatchers, anti-social elements and above all politicians.

Besides, Right to Education is creating a lot of problems in Indian schools, which will make crores of Indian pupils foolish, and good for nothing in the days to come. They might make a revolt in coming years against the state and seek an explanation why have the Government implemented such a policy where there is no proper and scientific measures of evaluation, detention and punishment. I am worried about the future of our children. What will these millions of students do in future who cannot write their names and addresses in English and do simple sums while reading in classes VII or VIII?
